‘I am with you always to the close of the age,’ Jesus says.
But only those who have eyes to see and ears to hear know they live in a world of grace, where God is ceaselessly drawing them into a love beyond all others.
Most often, we fail to experience our lives as a privileged place to know God. But once we feel the current of God’s grace on our own flesh, our eyes are opened to look for God in all things.
Seeing through grace-healed eyes is a six-week opportunity to hear stories of God’s grace in common, ordinary moments of life, realizing, too, that those moments are not ordinary at all.
Each session will begin with a presentation of a real-life story, followed by small-group reflection on the story and what it helps you see in your own life and history. At the close of each session, we will reconvene the whole group for final questions and observations. Before each session, you will receive a few questions related to the theme of the week for prayer and reflection.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: David L. Miller has served Christ’s Church as a pastor, journalist, author and retreat leader. He currently directs a small group through the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola as a partner in Christos’ Ignatian Spirituality program. He studied Christian spirituality at Catholic Theological Union, Loyola University and The Claret Center, all in Chicago. He was a senior and executive editor of The Lutheran Magazine before becoming the first Cornelsen Director of Spiritual Formation at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. He is the author of Friendship with Jesus, A Way to Pray the Gospel of Mark, an exploration of Ignatian Contemplation. He blogs at prayingthemystery.blogspot.com.
