This gathering will be a casual encounter with your peers, getting to know your fellow Christos alumni! Bring a beverage of your choice to our Zoom gathering. Our hour together will center around a topic or general question. Alumni Virtual Happy Hours take place the second Tuesday of each month, from 5-6 pm CT. Event is free.

The topic for April:

Tending the Threshold: Spiritual Direction in Times of Transition — Awakening to the liminal space between what was and what is becoming; how directors hold directees (and themselves) in the in-between.

Something is ending. Something has not yet started. Many of those we accompany in spiritual direction live in this delicate in-between space — after a loss, before a new calling takes shape, in the uncharted middle of a life transition. And honestly, so do we.

This gathering invites us to explore the gift and the challenge of liminal space — the sacred threshold where the old has loosened and the new has not yet arrived. Together, we will reflect on what it means to tend the threshold rather than rush past it, and how we as directors can become trustworthy companions for those navigating seasons of awakening and unknowing.

Come as you are — wherever you are on the threshold.
