This gathering will be a casual encounter with your peers, getting to know your fellow Christos alumni! Bring a beverage of your choice to our Zoom gathering. Our hour together will center around a topic or general question. Alumni Virtual Happy Hours take place the second Tuesday of each month, from 5-6 pm CT. Event is free.

The topic for May:

The Language of Image and Symbol: Praying with Dreams, Art, and Imagination — Honoring non-rational, imaginal forms of spiritual experience and how they help us flourish.

The Spirit does not always speak in words. Sometimes it appears as a recurring dream, a piece of music that unlocks something, or an image in prayer that won't let go. Yet many of our directees — and perhaps we ourselves — have learned to dismiss these moments as distractions rather than accepting them as invitations.This gathering explores the rich imaginal dimension of the spiritual life: how dreams, art, and contemplative imagination offer genuine pathways to God, and how we as directors can create space for this whole-self encounter. When we learn to trust the language of images and symbols, something inside us awakens — and we become more generous companions for the flourishing of those in our care.

Come ready to see, to wonder, and to receive what the imagination has to offer.
