Joel is an author, spiritual director, retreat leader, pastor, co-founder of WellSpring Life Resources and a Tending the Holy faculty member at Christos.

The group will reflect on Jesus' experience of falling, rising and becoming as the remarkable ongoing setting of our daily lives. We'll notice that embedded in all of life, even its dark passages, is a hopeful arc toward rich inner fullness and the freedom of living our true selves. We'll discover that our losses, challenges and delays offer doorways to the center of transforming life in God—touching a deep, generative blessing there that overflows first to us, and increasingly to all we meet. How do we wake to Jesus’ recreating rhythms already moving in us—alive and pointing the way forward? What transforming invitations are continually stirring, calling and drawing us every moment?

Online format: The group will read portions of the book before each class. Then we'll gather together online for a reflective opening activity, a brief teaching by the leader, a time of large group sharing followed by small group breakouts, and a final large group time to unpack together what the small groups have been exploring.
