As the world faces turbulent times, many people who experience trauma question their belief systems, their spiritual lives and their image of God. How can spiritual directors and those in ministry find the right approach to help?
Spiritual Directors, pastors, chaplains and practitioners in ministry are invited to join an upcoming five-session book study at Christos based on Trauma-informed Spiritual Care by Danielle Tumminio Hansen. The book offers a dynamic exploration of how trauma affects not just the physical and psychological lives of people but also their spiritual well-being. Consider the book study another tool in your toolbox of spiritual care.
Sessions will consist of large group time, followed by small group book discussion facilitated by Christos-trained Spiritual Directors, many of whom have experience as counselors in complex trauma and grief. Please purchase the book ahead of time and be prepared to discuss chapter 1 during our first meeting.
