Being listened to by a trained ear and presence became a part of my spiritual life more than a dozen years ago. The practice of spiritual direction has remained not only a gift but a necessity in becoming more of who I am meant to be. Because of the impact of direction, in 2010, I attended Christos to learn more about the art of holy listening. Tending the Holy guided and shaped my spiritual life in ways that I never could have imagined. The Holy Spirit nudged, challenged and transformed me with a deeper sense of who I am and who God is as I read, practiced listening, noticing and simply being with God by myself and with others in silence. As an educator and director, sitting with people and witnessing the presence of God in their life is an honor every time. In the role of facilitator and now coordinator at Christos, I have had the privilege of coming alongside learners in their desire for the same. What a gift to work at my happy place!
